For Skanwear, safety and compliance are key priorities. A specialist personal protective equipment (PPE) company, its strapline is ‘Saving Lives’ – and while they are compliant in everything they do, they lacked a real system to prove it. Skanwear partnered with our team in the implementation of four ISO standards.
We were approached by SHEQ manager, Adrian Batterley at Liverpool-based IDMH to help the firm gain vital certification.
“Modular construction requires a unique skill set from a worker, as well as training to the correct standards and upskill of workers to enable production.” Adrian told us. “We must also ensure production is safe” therefore, the ISO certification wouldn’t simply be a certificate, but “a better way of doing things’

Concept IT Services Ltd required ISO 27001 certification to satisfy some of its customers’ requirements – and thanks to the new certification, they continue to deliver a great service to everyone. Named as one of Europe’s premier managed service providers on the inaugural Channel Futures European Partners 51 (EP51) rankings in 2019, Concept IT has been widely acknowledged in its industry.
One of only six managed IT service providers to achieve the ISO9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2013 certification in the North East of England, Concept IT says it has demonstrated its commitment to its customers.
YGI needed help making quality-controlled improvements, whilst also enhancing customer service. Certification would also help them better qualify in the tender process, as well as achieve preferred supplier status, and attract new customers.
Having worked for the business for the last 16 years, Ian has seen a lot of change. With 30 employees and over 50 sub-contractors, YGI’s USP is the fact that it provides all required trades directly, from the point of inception through to project completion. “Doing what we do as a business, we need to stand out from our competitors; we knew that ISO 9001 would do this for us.”
