What SSIP means
It is a contractor safety assessment used to show you have the right policies, risk controls and paperwork in place.
These schemes check your health and safety setup so clients can approve you for work. The paperwork is often very similar, but different clients ask for different scheme names.

All of these are contractor approval routes, but each tends to be more common with certain buyers. If a tender or client has named one of them, use that scheme.
Usually the clearest fit for councils, housing associations, schools and public-sector style work.
Commonly seen on commercial sites, facilities work, retail jobs and hospitality contracts.
More common when you are moving into bigger building projects, supply chains and formal tendering.
Typically used by larger corporates, infrastructure businesses and utility clients with stricter controls.
Often a practical first accreditation for smaller firms or contractors new to formal approvals.
