This position reports to the Senior HSQE Manager and involves acting as the Responsible Person for health and safety while ensuring that all operations meet legislative and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Certifications & Accreditations: Manage and maintain industry certifications such as ISO 9001 and [ISO 14001](https://www.iso.org/iso-14001-environmental-management.html), along with SSIP memberships and RISQS accreditation (more info at [RISQS](https://www.risqs.com/)).
• Auditing & Reporting: Lead accident and near-miss investigations, carry out audits and inspections (both day and night), and compile Safety Bulletins and monthly reports for senior management.
• Training & Inductions: Deliver HSQE inductions, manage divisional training matrices, ensure subcontractor competency, and provide ongoing safety mentoring.
• Documentation & Systems: Maintain and review documentation within key management systems such as QMS, SMS, and EMS—this includes policies, procedures, RAMS, COSHH, and risk assessments.
• Operational & Stakeholder Support: Support site operations (including Temporary Works and statutory inspections) and chair HSQE Committee meetings, liaising closely with clients, suppliers, and accreditation bodies.
