We had a couple of visitors to Synergos HQ the other day.

Nothing strange about that – we quite regularly host clients and other businesses keen to talk about how we can help them but what WAS strange is that for the first time ever, our visitors managed to navigate their way to our office first time, with no panicked phone calls or texts to ask for directions.

You see, the building we’re in is something of a rabbit warren, with lots of units, lots of corridors and lots of areas where it’s super easy to go wrong – think of an old school hospital, and you’ll start to get a sense of the navigational challenges on offer!

And that’s if you manage to make it into the building – the various car parks are spread out and if you pop the postcode into your sat nav, you’ll end up in completely the wrong location.

The reality is that if you don’t know where you’re going, which turns to make and when, the chances of you getting there without dead-ends and delays are pretty minimal.

And so it is with compliance; particularly when it comes to obtaining ISO certification.

You might have a decent idea of what’s required and how to get to where you want to be, but without someone guiding you, the chances of you actually arriving at your desired destination are slim, at best but when you’re led on the path by someone who’s done it before, the odds swing dramatically back in your favour.

So, that’s my take away for today – navigating an untrodden path for the first time this year?

Enlist the help of someone who’s been there and done it, and your chances of success markedly rise.

Have a great day,
