Is your customer service up to scratch? – Measure success with ISO 9001:2015

We have always believed that a business stands or falls on the quality of its customer service. That is why we are so proud to say we have helped so many companies achieve success through timely adoption of ISO accreditation, specifically with ISO 9001:2015.

ISO 9001 continues to improve

This particular standard was introduced around 15 years ago as a tool that businesses could use to set, measure and improve their management and service standards. It was designed specifically with the customer in mind. And because the way businesses work has changed almost beyond all recognition for some, with the increasing reliance on technology and the continual expansion of the global supply chain, ISO 9001 has continued to evolve. But in the midst of all this fast paced change the one thing which doesn’t change is the need for companies to meet the needs of their customers in a way which is mutually beneficial.

Latest revision makes ISO 9001 even better

The latest revision of the standard ensures that it has more flexibility to fit in with any size of company to help drive continual improvements in customer service, so that the business can concentrate on working with new technology and new practices to achieve success. The new version of the standard helps companies to identify the needs of all interested stakeholders from the immediate company personnel through to external partners and clients. And in identifying the requirements of customers and partners it also identifies any risks and threats there may be. This helps an organisation to be more proactive and responsible in the way in which it deals with customers. It provides a more flexible but robust and effective system of management, one which involves everyone within an organisation from top to bottom. This has been proven to encourage the participation of everyone in making the business successful and in so doing improve motivation and morale. The most important thing is that once a company has achieved certification and has the latest Quality Management Systems in place, customers will start to notice the difference. And when your customers know that they are appreciated and are being looked after properly they will reward you with their loyalty.

Shout it from the rooftops!

ISO 9001:2015 has gone from being merely a Quality Management System to also being a must-have tool for the implementation of high quality customer service. Working within the framework of ISO 9001:2015 will help to ensure the sustainability and long-term success of an organisation. With this system in place your business, whether small, medium or large will go from strength to strength.

And once you have achieved your ISO 9001:2015 accreditation make the most of it and tell people about it! You can do this through press releases, on your website or company stationery. Put the message out there and tell your customers – and future customers – just how proud you are of your achievement in the field of customer service. To get started, call us on 01484 817444 or email us at  and we’ll be happy to take you through the certification process.

Completed my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in 2012 I was looking to start my own business. With over 10 years improving and streamlining business systems, I grasped an opportunity to assist a local business to improve their quality and communication processes by researching the requirements of a quality management system based upon ISO 9001 and conducted my first internal audit that resulted in 97 improvement recommendations. After a successful outcome, I was recommended again and again with glowing reviews and in February 2014, Synergos Consultancy was born. I now have the role of regularly reviewing and planning the strategic direction of the business to ensure that Synergos continues to develop, whilst at the same time, still actively working closely with some of our clients. In my spare time I love to attend the theatre to watch musicals, dance productions and plays. In 2019, I attended the theatre a whopping 24 times. I follow a plant-based diet which I absolutely love. A keen tick-tock follower, I have picked up a lot of interesting recipes. A firm favourite is Brussel sprouts and sriracha sauce baked in the oven. Delicious!
