What was your first job?
I started washing dishes at Boost Juice Bars when I left school, a year later I was Store Manager.
If you weren’t in your current position, what would you be doing?
I would most likely still be on furlough, playing golf 4 times a week!
What was your worst mistake?
A number of years ago while on safari in The Kruger National Park I decided, against my wife’s judgement, to cross a bridge that had been closed off. We managed to get across the bridge but got stuck in soft sand on the other side which meant I needed to go for a walk down the road in the Kruger National Park to find help.
What’s your ideal day away from the office?
A day out with my daughter and wife wandering around an old town or castle. Although I do sometimes daydream about being in the bush on safari.
Name one person you would like to have dinner with and why?
Only 1? It would have to be Nelson Mandela. I have always looked up to Madiba, his example will always be one to which I aspire.
What was your best subject at school?
Computer science and Industrial design had to be my best subjects.
What are your hobbies?
I love playing golf and photography. Getting out into nature with my camera is my happy place, I can often be found out at the most absurd times of the day with my camera.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
Buy a great big house and invest the rest. But I’d probably still turn up to work the next day!
What’s your favourite item of clothing?
Not sure if shoes count… it would definitely be shoes.
What’s the best thing about Yorkshire?
I’ll have to get back to you on that one. Having only moved here just over a month ago and with the current lockdown restrictions, I have not had a chance to get out and about yet!
