ABOUT THE CLIENT
Pure Pipe Technologies Limited, based in Huddersfield – West Yorkshire are a specialist company providing no dig, remediation solution services to the drainage industry by utilising specialist equipment.
The business was established in 2012 and is run by two Directors who employ a team of operatives that work all over the UK. The company contacted Synergos Consultancy in October 2017 to enquire about assistance to implement a certificated ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
ABOUT THE REQUIREMENT
Pure Pipe Technologies Limited contacted Synergos Consultancy in October 2017 requiring assistance to implement a new Quality Management System to be certificated to ISO 9001:2015. After meeting with the client and discussing their requirements we contacted a certification body on their behalf and submitted a proposal to undertake this work, along with a proposal from the certification body. The client telephoned to confirm acceptance of these proposals and also enquired about Synergos assisting them with their CHAS application.
ABOUT THE SOLUTION
Attend the clients’ premises to carry out and document a full audit of existing systems, develop a non-conformance register and detail all findings of the audit of which there were seventeen opportunities for improvement, which required implementation prior to the certification body assessment.
Liaising with the certification body and arranging a date for a Stage 1 assessment to be carried out. Develop a new quality manual, including preparing a written scope for the quality management system, carrying out activities to understand the context of the organisation and the needs and expectations of the company’s interested parties, develop a quality policy in line with the company’s strategic direction. Understand and document the operational process of the organisation, define the Director’s leadership commitment, draft an organogram. Draft and implement procedures including, planning for risks, opportunities and changes, document control, supplier approval, maintenance of company equipment.
Attend the client’s premises to chair and document a management review meeting to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. Review work to date and agree on quality objectives to be documented within the Quality Management System, review customer satisfaction, supplier performance and company resources and agree process for gaining further customer feedback. Agree areas requiring action by both Pure Pipe Technologies Limited and Synergos Consultancy, such as; reporting and documenting non-conformances, sign, date and display the agreed quality policy and issue to all members of staff with QMS awareness training and implement induction process.
Carry out a second internal audit to ensure that all areas comply with the standard prior to assessment.
A Stage 1 assessment was carried out by the certification body at which point it was recommended that Pure Pipe Technologies progressed to a Stage 2 assessment. A Stage 2 assessment was conducted, including a site visit to view operational activities. Pure Pipe Technologies Limited passed this assessment and were recommended for ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Neil Fletcher was most pleased with this assessment and at this point requested that Synergos Consultancy submit a proposal to assist the company in achieving ISO 14001:2015 for an Environmental Management System.
CLIENT FEEDBACK
We contacted Synergos Consultancy as they were recommended to us in respect of gaining our ISO 9001:2015 certificate. We had a number of systems and procedures in place and felt it would be beneficial to gain an award for this. ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised certification and appeals to our customer base. Synergos submitted a proposal to carry out all the necessary work to become compliant to this standard and their work was 100% guaranteed. The proposal was agreed by myself and Paul Turner (Director) and Synergos began working on our project. An internal audit was undertaken, followed by a management review meeting. Paul and I were both very impressed with the standard of work presented, and what was explained to us was very easy to understand; we could envisage how these documents and procedures were going to work for us in the future.
When we were recommended for our certificate in April we were very pleased. We would have no hesitation in recommending Synergos Consultancy to anybody requiring a company to enable them to achieve ISO 9001 Certification, or indeed any other areas of compliance.
We have since used the company for other services, such as CHAS accreditation and GDPR compliance.
SUPPORT PLAN
We always seek to support clients following the completion of a contract whether that be in the form of a full maintenance package, to carry out all works necessary in maintaining the company’s management system, carry out internal audits on behalf of the client or simply attending the company’s annual surveillance visits.
Since gaining their ISO 9001:2015 certification, Pure Pipe Technologies Limited have instructed Synergos to carry out additional works in supporting them through an SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement), CHAS (Contractor Health & Safety Assessment Scheme). The company has asked us to submit our proposal in respect of developing an Environmental Management System to be certificated to ISO 14001:2015. The EMS will integrate with their Quality Management System.
We continue to work with Pure Pipe Technologies in respect of developing their Quality Management; an internal audit is scheduled, and Synergos Consultancy will chair the next management review along with attending the company’s annual surveillance visits.
